I noted there are 4 diifferent aspects to sighting through the rear sight RCS thats pretty cool the lower hole when the ladder is vertical what range is that on for?
Like the early No.4 flip up one was good for 300yds and when flipped the other aperture was good for 600yds

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. When using the ladder or leaf when vertical it is 547 yards. When the USMC #10 peep and USMC front sight are installed the ladder is set for 200 yards

I can see that, and the front sight has been replaced. If re-barreled, that's a moot point.

some other things to look for.
a light punch mark on the right side bolt rail, nicely polished bolt, CV marked sear, and or cocking rod. polished sight scale, black pitch on the rear sight base and front sight base,
in any event its a nice rifle and worth every penny of 1600.00
    crispy stock
