Question on P35 with nazi markings, tangent rear sight and slot for shoulder holster

I found this gun in uncles collection, P 35 FN BHP serial # 96340 has the nazi eagle over the swstika and waA140 on frame and slide all numbers match, looks like it had nice bluing on it at one time only about 50% left, the question I have is should this gun have the slot for a shoulder stock, from what I have read they stopped making them around serial # 35,000.
This has been in his collection for over 60 years,
Magazine is olive drab color and bottom of grip has a 3 over a triangle with 0 9 next to it? Unit markings?. Will post pics when I figure out how to.
Also from what I have read these guns with buttstocks attached are illeagle but the Canadianicon ingles version is not, any truth to that?

You answered your own question. No slot.

As to the buttstock riddle: there is no accounting for the quirks of gun law. Apparently some jurisdictions consider a pistol with buttstock to be an illegally short rifle. Which raises the question: why should short rifles be illegal if even-shorter pistols are OK?

There's no logical answer. Just keep smiling and observe your local laws, or become a lawmaker and get them changed.

And remaining completely non-political on that topic there is actually a reason as to why in the US short barreled rifles and shotguns have more restrictions than a pistol. The reason being that when the law was originally drafted it was to have included pistols as well, but due to opposition that was dropped from the law.

To the OP you would need to contact I believe the ATF (someone correct me if I have the organization wrong, I don't deal in American gun laws) to find out what has exemptions to the short barreled rifle categories. Things like some C96 Broomhandles, and Inglis Hi-Powers have exemptions but you would need to verify what is and isn't exempt.
