Making some dummy examples for my collection

I have a small collection of early pre WW2 anti tank cartridges and thought that having some of the really rare examples would be interesting. By using solid aluminum round stock on my South Bend lathe, I was able to make both the Polish 7,92x107mm and the Germanicon 7,92x94mm cartridges. I used an original German 7,92mm bullet for the 7,92x94mm cartridge.

Well done, I had to do the same for a couple of very hard to find projectiles here... 35mmX 228 Bushmaster and a 30 Aden cannon... I used aluminum round.

    making dummies

If I came across some brass stock, I would have used it instead of aluminum stock. I also
made the bullets but later decided to use an original 7,92 bullet from a Germanicon case.

Once you get the dimensions down - all you need is some time. Photo shows my 7,92x94mm before the brass colorAttachment 90555Attachment 90556

Jim, you did an excellent job on your cartridges

Thank you...the Bushmaster was acquiescing 25 years waiting for a projectile that would never appear and the Aden just sort of came to me. The cost of spent projectiles is gold...

Brass round is available every day you know...just pay for it... Looks great though, you'd never know after. An unavailable cartridge filled in the collection.
    Regards, Jim
