    ljungman mag

As there is no Swedishicon section, this seems the appropriate place to ask.......can the follower in a ljungman ( I think thats how you spell it ) be removed without destroying anything ?? I have removed the base plate and follower spring but can't see how to get the follower out.

It should turn to the side and flop out...you may be trying too hard...did you try just shaking the empty stripped mag?

....too neat a fit for that, the follower has a "leg" fore and aft in the mag body so it can't be tilted, it runs up and down in guides in the box. It looks like a rivet is what stops it from falling out.

So I was thinking after about it wondered why you need to take it completely out? You can clean inside and out with all these parts removed so...why worry about it? Clean and oil with it in place.

Thanks anyway Jim, theres a protrusion on the side of the follower that limits travel both up and down. This doesn't matter any more.

I'm actually cutting the mag in half to make a " trench " mag for an M96, and I was hoping to remove the follower before cutting but I'll just slide it down out of the way.

The mag is one of several I have and has damaged feed lips, so no great loss.

Should all work out in the end, maybe you can show us the end product, for interest sake...
