If you're going to spend good money on one, might as well be the best you can find.

The seller did not lie. He was careful to omit information. He has more than on FN 49 on gunbroker.

The seller did not lie he merely omitted important information and then I had to email twice to really find out he has two on GunBroker so he knows what he's talking about

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Typical, and an example of someone to stay away from.

You ask him what bullet he used? He may have used a .308" bullet in a .323" barrel. Not all on-line sellers know what they have. S'one of the hazards of on-line buying.
Any inspection period? Mind you, Egyptian stuff is well known for being rough due to in service handling. Most Egyptian troopies really didn't want to be there.
The Sudanese AR-10's that came through the shop still had tiny parts of the desert in 'em.
    Spelling and Grammar count!

Just be careful the Egyptian contract rifles did not have a Firing Pin Safey Stop, and the firing pin can stick forward if damaged or not maintained.

My max bid was 657.03. I have been out bid at 667.03 today. I'm off the hook.
    I think I'm happy.
It's hard to spend 800 to 1000 for an Egyptian. Does any one know we're any Argentineicon 30'06 imported?
