    "T'aint Funny McGee!!"

Went out to my pistol range last night after work to shoot my new FNP-45 and made a startling problem. I could not load any of the magazines without great difficulity. The sprngs are very taught and my limit was 10 rds. This was also due to arthritis in my hands. Figurerd I needed a magazine loader, so this A.M. I went back to the gunshop for asssistance. None of their loader's would work with my magazine. Now I was stumped as to what to do next. I decided to trade it in on a Springfield Mil-Spec package with store credit back. A very disappointed

I hope that this was not a premature trade in. The Springfield XD that I purchased with the the High Cap Mag was very difficult to load past 10 rounds even with the supplied Mag loader. As I continued to use them, they seemed to work in a little at a time and now accept the full 16 cartridges.

I am sure you will enjoy your Mil-Spec. That one is on the top of my wish list.

Old age is tough to face. Years ago I sold or traded off most of my revolvers for semi autos. Now I can't pull the slide back on most of them because of arthritas in both hands. At least I'm not loosing any money when I sell them to buy more revolvers.

I am having the same type of troubles. But like a friend of mine said "getting old with problems is not a bad problem". I asked him what that ment and he replied "if we didn't get old with problems we would have been younger and dead". So I just look at trying to solve the problems and make do. I hope this makes us all look at our old problems a little better.
