I don’t know what the badge is, but it’s the one Bernard Bresslaw had on his beret in the Army Game series if that helps.

I wonder if it’s related to the Army Education Corps as it looks like a closed book in the centre.

Not the old RAEducation Corps. That was a flaming torch. That badge is a concoction of odds and sods but I can't identify of the bits

Whats the matter with you lot.............its the" Royal Army Nomty Corps" made exclusively for Elstree Studios and the comedy strips, as the Ministry of Defence as it was then, would not allow current or serving Regiments badges under Her Majesty the Queen to be worn during "film making". Nothings changed its the same today!

    Phil,
Reference Wild Geese, exactly the same, there are small anomalies on each Regimental badge they produced for the film, so the viewer would accept it was the correct badge worn at first glance.
Take for instance the Parachute Regiment badge worn by Hardy Kruger or those by Burton the Crowns are'nt relevent to HM The Queen 1953 on, and one assumes they also knew of the copyright laws!!
Also Roger Moore as a supposedly ex Irish Guards Officer his badge would be woven gold wire not a silver cap badge as an Officer!
