    Norwegian Krag

Gentlemen: My first post in a long time. I recently was gifted a Norwegianicon Kragicon action but it is incomplete and a bit rusty but viable if I can get the proper extractor, guard screws and the spring that controls the follower and door. I confess that I am not really knowledgeable on how this variant works. I have looked around on the web and found the general history but remain stymied on finding parts - I understand they are scarce. Looked at Ebay, Gun parts corp and etc. Is there a reliable source for parts with a knowledgeable seller that I can deal with? I like Krags and have 4 US krags. I also understand the pressure limitations of this action. Would also like to find a krag wise gunsmith who can handle a rebarrel and able to cut the left hand threads. I really need help on this one. I don't want to let this old warrior die. regards: Tallcedar

Don't know about parts. However, if you replace the barrel with an after market type you could ask if the maker can thread it for your rifle. Many years ago Douglas supplied a threaded deep chambered barrel in 6.5x55 for one of my Norwegianicon Krags.
