British Model 1917 WWII grenade launching rifle

During WWII, Britainicon converted a few US lend lease Model 1917 rifles into cup launching grenade rifles. The detachable cup is retained by a nut that is held captive behind the front sight. The wood has been reinforced with wire wrapping and a metal bracket inletted into the stock wrist. The red paint is visible on the handguard indicates the rifle is a non standard .30-06 caliber. The Mills grenade has the launching disc attached. The disc seals the cup during firing.

They were made by W.W. Greener in Birmingham. How nany were made is not exact known (1.500 to 5.000).
