    No1 Mk1*** Restoration

Here is a before and after of a 1907 BSA Enfield I have had the joy of trying to restore.

When I first started all I had was a barreled action. It has taken a lot of time searching for parts. I know some parts are not fully correct but I believe it still shows many of the old features of the Mk1. I also like the look the Parker Hale sight adds to it. I just wanted to show off my rifle haha. Not bad for a 21 year old Aggie right? Now on to my P14 project.

I have also restored a few sporterized Mark 1*** rifles, fortunately the barrels were not shortened. Modified Mark 3 fore-ends with volley sight have just about
disappeared now and finding any original Mark 1*** wood is about impossible. Most that I have seen are with the CR, ER or G prefix to the new serial. Some plug
the charger guide cut in the Mark 3 stock while others just leave it alone

The wood was the hardest part for me to find. I actually found 2A stock for cheap and cut out some wood for to make it fit and shaved some off for the mag cut off. I thought this would be an easy restore because EFD Enfields has parts but I don't think they are in business any longer.
