British Model of 1917 Cutaway rifle

Following British practice as noted on No.4 cutaways, this rifle is marked S1. My friend bought another one at a later date, but I don't remember its number, less than 20 I think. My rifle has no proofs or other markings to indicate British ownership.

Your P.13/P.14/M1917 rifles for sure put the Pattern Room to shame! If you now come up with an Ainley rifle ....

Around and by going to Springfield Sporters and Navy Arms and sorting through their inventory. I never did make it to Century. Once or twice a year, my buddy and I would make the grand tour. Springfield Sporters, SARCO, Navy Arms and Numrich on the way back to a show in Syracuse. I look at every gun I possibly could be interested in at every show I go to. I don't buy off the computer.

It's cool and all but I just can't help but have the thought what a waste of a pristine unfired M1917!

its a shame these younger members will never know what springfield sporters was like or real sarco.

I was in both those places as well as Interarms. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
