I have been informed it is a conversion to a standard 4in. barrelled Mark IV service revolver
as per List of Changes No. 13057 of 21st November 1905,
done by either the factory or at RSAF Enfield.
for the gentleman cadets at Sandhurst and Woolwich.
I have measured the cylinder and it is a MK V. it measured 44.22 mm. 17.40 inch
everything is very tight on the revolver,
    It has been referbished.
No serial No on the barrel or the cylinder.

Does anone have photos of the MK IV Cadets?
also early MK Vs and the early cervilian ones,
I am not sure this is a MK IVat all,
it has the wron barrel, front sight, rifling is enfield not whitworth,
    has a MK V cyilnder
and it serial No is less than 400 lower than the earlist know MK V.
There are one or two things that I feel are not right.

    SO any pics and comments.....Please.

Someone does have the old ledgers and records etc, but its a service you have to pay for, I've got a small list but only of WW2 and post war production serial numbers. Keep trawling the net...... but different search etc.

Some other forums etc may have the info, or some has it and willing to share.

No good to you but I found this below (see link) for Colt New Service revolvers etc, helps me to prove a future purchase is a section 7.1
