    Grrr! 1917 REPO! Stacking Swivel

I've been looking for a Model of 1917 Stacking Swivel for a short while. I was alerted that Numrich Arms has some for sale, looked and sure enough, they are on the website. Got it in the mail today. and it looks like I got a repo marked Eddystone. Oh well back to the search for an original one, a Remington (but at this point I'll settle for a Win or Eddy)

    - disappointed - but I should have expected that from Numrich, they have turned to c$%p in the last few years.

I have to admit they got me too. Painted black and not really authentic looking at all. The E stamping is several font sizes too big and looks like it was cast-in instead of stamped. I had to file it so that it would fit in the front band. Junk, and the search continues. BTW, I never saw anywhere on their site that said it was a repop but it was cheap so..... - Bill

Thanks Jim.... Yes, a BIG toad, I've found a few of P14 for $10.00 and a Winchester but it was $50.00 too much for my budget on that one.

Yeah, it looks like they are selective when it comes to saying they are Repo's, I knew it was a shot in the dark when I ordered it. It's not the first time; I emailed them once and asked if a barrel band saw original or a reproduction because it wasn't stated on their website. They said original when I got it, it was a repo of course.

    M1917 stacking swivel

I have an original M1917 stacking swivel marked E as shown in my photo.

It is on my Lee Enfield 1906 Mark 1***, I need a Lee Enfield stacking swivel (piling swivel)
that is 1 - 3/4 inches wide and off-set to the right. If you can fine the correct Lee Enfield swivel - I will trade you even

I'm actually looking for a Remington, not Eddystone, I found a guy selling a compete upper band with the stacking swivel, his pictures were crummy but I got the whole thing for $15.00 so I bought it. Should be here in a couple weeks since I had to send a Money Order. ANYHOW.....

I dug through my Enfiled No. 1 Mk III parts and found these three, the one on the bottom has an E on it. They are a bit wristed at the wrist, the boys must have needed to un-stack thier rifles quick. Don't know if you can use one, just let me know and I'll send it to you. No charge.

Oh, these measure 1 5/8" and the one with the E metal is a smaller diameter (thickness). I can measure them all with my calipers if you like

Thank you for taking the time to do the photos, but I will be able to get the correct piling swivel soon.

Problem is if you want correct and original, sometimes you have to pay...unfortunately. But remember, the weapons shop used what comes to hand, not by manufacturer.
