    1918 BSA FTR 1953 questions.

    Hi everyone,
I picked up my first Enfield in over a decade and have some questions:

Does anyone know what the 79^GA Is? I've only been able to find one other thread on another forum that showed it on a rifle almost identical to mine from 2012. Unfortunately, no one had answers on it.

The 79 ^ GA mark is simply a post war inspection mark. You will find that type of mark, with different letter and number combinations, on the wood, receiver and barrels on all BSA post war FTR's and new made/FTR rifles done by Fazakerley.
