    Question about PASGT armor

I'm almost finished with my mid 80s cold war uniform. I have the PASGT helmet and an ELBV. How is the PASGT vest worn with that? Under the ELBV?

I wore mine over the vest, but then again I didn't have an ELBV until the 90s. Had the regular LC-50 throughout the 80s, one of the first non-'hooah' units to get the Pass-gas helmet in 1986 (Berlin Brigade). Had only the helmets, no covers, so we paraded that 4th of July with the helmet bare.

Same, the vest goes over the body armour, now would you get at anything otherwise? We had the older vests until about "92 and then with Yugoicon started moving forward in time. Steel M1icon and web gear, '60/'70 pattern body armour until then. Then we went through a series of vests quickly and the new armour... Yes, wear your vest over the armour. Try it on with all the mags and stuff inside, you'll see...
    Regards, Jim

I'll bet that brought back a few memories for the 50 and up civilians in the crowd.
