Is it common for two 03A3s supposedly built a year apart to have different barrels?
Both Remington’s , 7-43 has a two groove barrel, 8-43 has a four groove barrel.

Want to thank everyone for their input, though nothing conclusive have a feeling this is a one off and may never properly be identified. Knew it came from a highend gun collection and just found out a krag from the same collection was from san juan hill so will continue to research, thank again Mark FYI the Remington forum was useless....

Would love to see some pics of that Krag! Any documentation to back up that story to go with it?
