    Pattern '88 no makers name?

I picked up a P'88 bayonet recently to complement my LE Mk1 and CLLE 1. But it has no makers name, Such as Wilkinson or Mole. It has the regular VR cipher and date and on the reverse it has the bend test, inspector stamp and W^D mark.

There is no evidence of regrinding or restamping, any ideas?

    Cheers

    Roy

Ive seen a later (1898) one with the EFD and arrow mark. Perhaps EFD didnt have a makers mark in 1896
