A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. They look like M1icon Carbine to me... Krag oilers, all I saw, were bright and had a bigger cap. This cap is close to the outside of the tube. Krag is far bigger, you can't mistake them once you see them...look them up on line.
    Regards, Jim

Carbine. Krag and '03 Springfield oilers were nickel plated brass. The Krag's was 3.25" long too.

And then there's this. Dunno if the guy knows what he's about though. Especially as none of the original makers made all the parts.

They look like after market M1icon carbine oilers. Some early M1 carbine oilers were marked on the bottom to different makers. Later carbine oilers were marked IS all in a circle. BK, SN with a number. There is an SW on the cap that has been up for debate. And a Poly Brothers.
