    Not an average 91/30 find

    Ran across this 1939 Izhevsk today. What's different about it is that it is an unrefurbed import. Rear sight base is unpinned, rudimentary repair to the butt. Not a single matching part. At first I thought it was a Finn, or maybe a SCW example (the year ruled that out)..it definitely has been around the block. Have a look.

    Pretty right there Anzac15 and not once around the block either about a dozen I would say , their rudimentary stock repairs are outstanding wonder what Ivan charged "Is good strrrrong now give 2 bottles of vwodka"

    I don't think Ivan uses stainless steel siding nails to repair rifle stocks, Bubba does though. On the plus side you have the original hunk of wood. It could be made to look half decent.

    Yeah, the stock repair may have been done here. I see an import marking, so with that think this may be a Balkan used rifle. Rough use. This also may have been a Century U-fix-em special with lots of character. Neat rifle.
