This is a dual control, SHORAN equipped aircraft that I flew on the 15 June 1953 daylight formation to Kumwa. We were the second group of a raid after the N Koreans broke through the Second Corps area. As the second group we received a very warm and accurate level of FLAK.
As noted it is SHORAN equipped which I have flown to visit beautiful downtown. Pyongyang. We received a very warm but not very welcome with a lot of fireworks. FLAK at night is beautiful but deadly.

Unless I am mistaken, I remember seeing a few of these in USAF or VNAF colours in Vietnam when I lobbed up in 1968.

Thanks for your service and the very interesting picture. It must have been absolutely nerve wracking flying over Pyongyang!

The first A/B26's in Viet Nam were unmodified A/B 26's. The modified A26 came later.

    After 49

This Picture after my Mission Number 49 , I flew number 50 two days later.
Not a great landing but a good landing - we all survived,
A good landing = one you walk away from.
A great landing = you can reuse the aircraft
