    Canadian/Nazi Browning High Power?

I picked up this BHP as a shooter. The frame and the slide match in serial (font different on slide). Barrel is unmarked.

I'm guessing bubba slapped together a nazi frame with an inglis slide...then tried to match them.

However, if anyone has any other thoughts on this interesting pistol...I would love to hear them!

    Thanks!

How do you keep that thing from shooting at itself?

Sounds right, also someone tightened up the trigger axis pin with a couple of prick punches...

I don't believe that I have ever seen grips with quite that pattern. (But I am not an expert.)

I think they're original walnut grips that have been embellished with a file...improved so to speak...

I picked up an Inglis bring back 30 years ago. A couple of years later I bought a WW2 Germanicon that the Vet who owned it had it chromed. I took both pistols and swapped out the slides and frames to see how well they would shoot. The Inglis slide and barrel shot very well on the German frame while the German slide and barrel did not match it for accuracy but both pistols functioned 100%. I still have my Inglis and it's not leaving me for sure.
