    THE GUN MARKETS OF PAKISTAN

Clearly no regulation in that country on automatic firearms. This is worth a 9 minute watch to see why that country is such a state!!

Good grief Gil, these people will never change. The people in the tribal area don't give hoot who's in charge, they just carry on doing as they please.

Dosen't really matter if the government level the place, they will just gather their basic machinery back up and resume production...

My wife's uncle used to go into this area during the Sovieticon Afgan war in the1980's and use it as jumping off point to head into Afghanistan.

He used to specialise in Afgan rugs and carpets and freely trade right though the area. These days he rarely goes both of the Indian boarder. Its far too dangerous.

There is a certain irony that it was safer to travel into that area 30 years ago, even with the Soviets war raging, than it is now...

As a footnote, lots of captured Sovieticon gear of all types flowed south into the tribal area to sell.

AK74's in particular. I guess the fighters of that time preferred AK 47 variants because the ammo was plentiful, while feeding the 74's with 5.54mm was more of an issue.

"...no regulation in that country..." There are. Automatic weapons were banned and ordered surrendered in January of 2018. The tribesmen ignore 'em. Mind you, their government offered to swap their FA's for semi's or 50,000 Rupees(~$432US.) per long gun.
Pakistanis cannot legally own a handgun chambered in a military or police cartridge. As in no .38 Special, .357, 9mm, etc. Mind you, it's also one of the most corrupt governments on the planet.
    Spelling and Grammar count!

I bet they struggle for rifling and firing pin quality. A gun waiting to blow up in someones face in my book, and by the saounds of it, undetectable from the real thing, except made in the Phillipines stamped down the side.
I would have thought after all that hard work they would copy it 100% from the real thing with all the usual U.S. markings on it.

We used to see some of this home made pure shxte. Might puzzle you at a first glance but not twice. Difficult to explain exactly what was wrong, but, sort of...., er......, everything. Cocking the good example we had was akin to stirring a box of bolts with a spoon
