I posted a couple of times that I am surprised how many don't spend the 25.00 to help keep this site up and running.

I have NEVER found a site that compares to milsurps.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

    Skip,
    No issues here,
Often I see we have many Non Member Visitors (Non Member Guests), That's the point I was bringing up.
To welcome them aboard and that it's a free site.
We're never to old to learn and I'm sure we haven't seen every Mil Surp out there.

That's all.... A Welcome to the Visitors to join/sign up as members.
People want to contribute so be it. I wont judge one on how they spend their moolah.

BTW At this time there are 201 users online here. 24 are members, 177 are Non Members/Visitors.
Wouldn't it be nice to hear some input from the visitors ?
Surely they have some interest in Mil Surplus Arms.... I assume that's why they are here.
Doors open, grab a chair and put your feet up.

    Cheers

There is the other side of the coin as well that not all are well to do folks and as paltry as it may seem to some the voluntary meagre fee to help the site run may not be in a persons wallet let alone the shrapnel jar on the mantle piece.
I like probably a few here have had occasions in my life at being that broke wondering what we were going to eat but also looking at foreclosure on our house and being kicked out to the street was what we looked forward to however now some years later there is a bit more fat in the house so I do not forget those people that helped me and if I give back a bit in another way that I enjoy then that makes me happy.
As they the non-cons and visitors can enjoy the site for what it is which in this plastic, transparent, no do gooders, they had a bad childhood people is like a breath of fresh air.

Nothing comes anywhere close to Milsurps for the quality of the contents, contributors and thoroughly professional moderation.

    Doug runs a tight ship.

I've lost count of the amount of times people here have reached out to help others and a good many here have made good friends, myself included.

Unfortunately, quite a few forums have turned into nothing more than frequently "highly offence" squabbling troll hangouts...

So, if you don't yet, put your hand in your pocket and contribute!

Thank you Jim and Charlie, as well as everyone else who posted here.

We have over 30,000 free registered members from all over the world, with 169 members donating as Contributing Members to help us out. It is with the support of gracious members such as these, that Deborah and I are able to pay for and maintain a first-class website presence. One that supports our shared enjoyment of milsurp collecting, using a dedicated host server attached to high network bandwidth, which guarantees performance under load and minimizes traffic delays.

For more information on How do I become a "Contributing Member" (click here)?

    Thanks again everyone.

    Regards,
    Doug (and Deb)

Sadly that is only about half of one percent of members. I understand about financial restrictions. We started married life at nineteen with $160 and I was in the Navy making $135 a month with a baby. Some folks stuggle to make ends meet. But we all have a love for this hobby. I look at it as one less box of a high quality ammo. So one range day gets cut short a bit. I can live with that.

As mentioned above. I have met and made some great friends here. Worth the price of admission for me.

Thanks to all who contribute and those considering to do so. We have a good group of people here.

I've been meaning to become a contributing member for some time. So only having recently set up a PayPal account; I've finally got around to doing it.
Having used some of the very professional information on the site and learnt load's of new stuff; it's worth every cent!
    Thanks
