New to me Original No4 MK1 (Early BSA???)

Picked this old girl up today. overall it is in VERY good shape and has cosmolineicon all over it inside and out. Question is, donít know who made it other than a guess itís an early BSA (thanks to another forum). Is that correct? It was made in 1942 and all numbers match. Hopefully I didnít overlay ($650)

I have a feeling that might be the import mark of the importer who brought them in (could be wrong though, but no other marks on the rifle)
