    1944 Colt 1911A1 MAGAZINE HELP!

I recently acquired a 44' Colt 1911A1. I am looking for the correct magazine that for the gun. I believe I need a full blued, pinned floor plate magazine that is unmarked. I am terrible at determining what I am looking at if they are not marked. If anyone can provide me assistance in find one for purchase and identifying them it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Getem

Wouldn't a contract mag be correct? For example, a Colt/Risdon? (R stamped on the top of the toe, C-R on the bottom.)

That would be a correct magazine. I believe that Scovill also supplied magazines to Colt with a C-S on the bottom.

I believe there were primarily 3 wartime mag suppliers to Colt. It's pretty cool they were all local Connecticut suppliers!
All maker codes marked on the top front toe of the mags.

    C-L
    M.S. Little, Hartford Conn.

    C-R
Risdon Tool & Machine, Naugatuck Conn.

    C-S
    Scovill Mfg. Co., Waterbury Conn
