    Any Vickers experts here ?

I’m searching for a Vickers muzzle attachment casing, I’ve tried all the usual sources but nobody seems to have any. Wondered if anyone here might have a spare ??

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Likewise, if you find a stash I’m in need of the complete Ady too. At one time they were 10 a penny on epay.

Not that I'm a Vickers expert except for having fired plenty - or that I've got one, but exactly what bit do you mean? The housing with the windows that the muzzle cup operates in or the round suppressor that covers that.

That's what I thought you meant - but didn't realise that there was a shortage of them. They were pretty much an expense item, part of the gun kit as they used to erode badly at the front of the windows due to the blast.

This will help get the actual part name. Maybe a lead on the actual part too. Assorted daft laws aside.

There is a little Small Arms ID Series booklet on the Vickers MMG, (S.A.I.S. No.8), by Ian Skennertonicon for the big pricey sum of $10 plus post available that has the Illiustrated Parts Catalogue and CES included along with quite a bit of very pertinent information. I have them, Skennerton has them. Buy one someplace. It makes life a lot easier when we folks who are in the trade know exactly what you want instead of trying to sort it out over mega emails, etc.
