    Missed the Finland Field Trip?

I have jut purchased a 1939 short rifle chambered in 7.35. It has no markings indicating it went to Finlandicon. My question, for those who know more than I do, is what happened to the almost half of produced 7.35 rifles that did not go to Finland? Did they sit out the war in some Italianicon depot, or get pressed into service? Who would have been likely to get such rifles if issued?

They didn't sit out the war but were issued to support troops. Hard to tell how many saw combat but would expect a lot of them did as with advances through Italianicon territory, the support troops would become involved.
