    Knowing the conversion was done in Belgiumicon by a private company I therefore don't think UKicon would pay for rifles they anyway sold get converted and then gift them to another country. They would rather give them the guns for free and maximum tell them where they can get them converted. The Turkishicon also converted guns themselves, therefore I believe if they were given P.14 and they wanted them to be 8x57 IS, they would rather convert themselves.

    Turks sold their 7.9 weapons inventory years ago and would most certainly have disposed of a non standard like a P14. If they kept any 7.9 rifles it would be Mausers. They also disposed of their No4s.

    Converting a .303 Brit chambered rifle to 8mm Mauser would not be cost effective. Rimmed case to rimless requires drastically altering the bolt face, mag follower and extractors etc. Certainly wouldn't have been paid for by either Turkeyicon or Britainicon. W.W. I literally bankrupted the Brits and Turkey has never had money.
