Just Want To Say Hi To You Surplus Collectors

...who is speaking is an Italianicon American (US Born, raised in Rome - IT) and moved back to the US a few years ago (San Diego, CA).

I just fell back into a fervent passion for surplus guns - particularly WWII.
I went nuts studying all over again WWII (Italian, Germanicon, Allied). I know my former nation owes everything to my good, old and beloved America.

Bought a few Carcanos just in a week. This is one and wanted to post a couple of images here.
The backpack is mine - in the sense that, I served in Italy with it in 1990 (drafted, mandatory conscription at the time). I was stunned to find out that it was the same pattern as at least some of the fascist era ones (laughs).

    Ciao you all!

This one is in 8mm, much likely with fake markings and all - still love it.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Ciao ragazzi, Ciao Ovidio (and grazie!). Funny thing is, I am currently back in Rome for a while (came back with wife and children for summer to see the old farts and all).
Warm hug to you all, I look forward to spending quality time here.

Once again, thanks for your welcoming me here - yours, SD

ETA: my new to me Beretta M1934 (from 1941) and M38 have both hit my FFL in San Diego. Won't be able to DROS them until I'm back home, but a picture of the M38 (in 7.35) is mandatory.

PS in Rome I used to own a Cavalry carbine and another M34 (in 9mm short which was more rare in Italyicon).
