I saw over on CMP icon

, the Clawson (1911) paperback editions are going for $400+. I bought mine < 2 years ago for $145 and thought I was getting ripped!

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Out of print great books drives the prices up.

If you collect US military knives and bought the M H Cole books back in the late 80's for $49 each they are now going for $200+. The redo compilation by Mike Silvey from the originally books came out at $149. It now lists for $400 and up.

Glad I bought mine early.
