I've ridden my Heritage through all of the lower 48 and more than once thought, "I should've bought a Road King", but .... style points have to count for something.

I like my Ultra Classic, best cruiser I have ever had. The wide glide, and Norton see little road time anymore.

Arrived home yesterday after a grueling one day 500 mile run. The Armory was great. Seeing serial numbers #1 of both 1903 and M1icon production was really cool. The experimental one offs, everything. Eisenhower's Garand wasn't on display on my visit but that's because they rotate what is on display.
Had a nice chat with the Park Ranger who is a gun guy too. He said only ONE man has excess to the entire collection on the third floor. It would make history buffs like us go coocoo for CoCo Puffs I'm sure.
If you get the chance, make the pilgrimage. It's a small Museum but most if not all of the buildings are there. One can tell that at one time Springfield was a beautiful thriving city, now not so much.

The Mt Washington Auto Road was awe inspiring, nothing else can describe it.
Me and Bonnie Jean on top.

    What! No Chaps?

While we were there my wife learned that what she always thought were poka dots on Rosie the Riveter head scarf, were really flaming bombs. She loved the belt drive system for the machines.

Sounds like you had a good trip.
