WW2 German badge
Morning all,
I acquired this pocket metal badge in Crete back in 1988 and forgot all about it, not my area of expertise and I know nothing about these things.
can anyone tell me what I have here guys?

A commemorative piece that marked the 2d meeting of the Main Region 'Front Soldaten' (a politicized veterans group from those days) that happened in Aschaffenburg in July of 1938.

Matt, many thanks indeed for that information.
Very interesting, I wonder if this belonged to a German
WW2 official based in Crete, or a WW1 veteran who reinlisted ... Guess we will never know.

One of them Mysteries John These kind of badges were not worn on the uniform, more like a dinner jacket or regiment blazer etc.
Its surprising how many who served in WW1 & WW2 still served later on........ I remember a book on A SAS Sgt, who was in the Troubles in Bosnia, at a meeting he was Talking to An older German Guy who was in charge of a Unit (I doubt it was a Muslim one) he talked to the Sgt as he was a Para, (the guy had noticed his tattoo I'm not sure what cap badge they were under at the time as they were trying to mingle), he said he was also a Para He was in the Fallschirmjäger in WW2........
