July 4th more than a day off

July 4th to me is more than commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
I think of those that fought for this freedom, be it here or in far away lands.
From a endless list here are two:
Lt. Gen Hal Moore, Who when asked before enemy contact in Vietnam- What else do you hope to accomplish?
Moore replies "We hope to clear out this entire valley, get the VC's out of here and let the people come back and live a normal life"

Then asked- Do you think you may run across the enemies main force that was in here ?
Moore replied: "We hope so, so I can kill him..... as many as we can"

Chris Kyle was quoted as saying " I'm ready to meet my maker and answer up for every shot I took"(I've read a couple versions of this quote with slight differences)

Point being, Freedom and Independence doesn't come free.
Honor those who serve, these are special people... our finest.
And when flying that flag on the 4th, look the makers tag over.
Buy a Flag Made in America.

A Happy 4th to all, especially the families of our military.

    God Bless and Thank You
