    Field Grade CMP SA 11-44

Well I received my M1icon Garand from the CMPicon today. I sent an order with a Sticky that said " send me something cool" I also added a 50 dollar donation as I believe in the CMP's mission. Anyway, here is what I got. Out of the box I noticed Lock Bar sights. Next was the barrel that read 11-44. It gages a 2+ both ways. Serial number 3.2 mil matches 11-44. Overall I am very happy. All parts are SA from what I can tell but not sure on the drawing numbers for originality. That is what you guys are for right? Here are some pictures.

    Safety is SA 11
    Hammer is SA 7

Looks like that 50 dollar donation paid off. That looks like a nice service grade.

Looks like the GI handed it right to you, just enough wear to look good.

Nice to still be able to buy a nice WW2 rifle, the operating rod is post war and it is still easy to find a late un-cut WW2 operating rod
