    P.O. Ackley 4x40 Scope

I was asked if I was interested in purchasing a P.O. Ackley 4x40 scope I'm not familiar with this scope but searches on the Internet have yielded interesting information. The Scope look to be brand new there are no indications it has ever been mounted, its made in Japanicon and he's offering it to me for $25.00

I love to her people opinions on the scope and if its worth the money?

Supposedly made around 1955. In Japan. Japaneseicon QC was not great until their businessmen got rich enough to come to North America. Rumour has it that they were astounded at the much higher quality of stuff being made States vs what they were told to make.
It got a 7/8" tube with external adjustments? Apparently, Ackley did design and manufacture a scope and mount in 1955. If it's one of those, it's a collector piece worth $300ish. $150 for the mounts alone. Otherwise, it's a marketing thing that just has Ackley's name on it. All that is according to a guy on 24 Hour Campfire back in 2011.
Might be worth $25 just in case it is worth a pile of money.
    Spelling and Grammar count!
