    If you just want a .40 there are 1911 makers who build them in .40 Wilson for one. Ed Brown makes a nice 10mm

    I like the .38 super. Almost the same length cartridge as 45acp which means no feed issues. A bit less recoil than 45acp.

    But prefer my daily carry, a 4 1/4" 45acp from Ed Brown.

    Your pictures of that beautiful Ed Brown brought back a long buried memory.
    I posted about it in the Watering Hole because my story is fairly long and Off Topic for here in the Carbine forum.
