    My Remington 1903A3

    Forum,

enclosed pictures of my Remington 1903A3

    Receiver - 4128550
    Barrel - RA 12-43 (2 grove)
    Bolt - R
    Stock - Keystone

    Comments appreciated!

P.S. Which I'm not quite happy is the relatively large distance between the breech of the bolt and the receiver (see the last picture) - Any comments?

Rifle looks great, are there any inspection markings at all on the wood? Is it a repro stock fitted? I always liked the looks of a "C" stock...
    Regards, Jim

The gap is a bit larger than normally seen, but is not a safety issue. Nice looking rifle!

    Hello Forum!

There are no any markings (cartouches) on the stock, only the "K" in Cut-Off lever recess in the wood. This should be the marking for Keystone stock

The "K" indicates that the stock is a USGI replacement stock. Absence of any other markings (proof P on the pistol grip & armory stamp on the side of the stock) means that the stock was added by a previous owner, who probably bought it from a surplus dealer.

A nice parts-gun. No insult intended, but not arsenal built for sure. Probably a good shooter.

I have no problem with your opinion at all!

    My priority was:

    1. Good shooter
    2. Total operational safety
    3. Good general condition

To make it perfect, I am looking for the USMC style front sight cover.

Does anyone know a delivery source for it?
