    Peruvian 1909 Bayonet

I was in a bayonet dry spell for over a year but this year things have really turned around. This arrived last night, an ebay nab. I was not expecting to get this because I had been watching another that was in average shape and it sold for over $200 just three days prior.

This one looks unissued. Has cosmolineicon on it and some staining of the metal that was exposed. Got it for a lot less than $200. What I suspect kept the price down is the seller stated it had the crest but he never posted a photo of the crest. The previous bayonet had a crest that was half worn off.

Fits my 1935 Peruvianicon Mauser perfectly. Still going to try to locate one of the VZ24 import bayonets for it but as these are unmarked, kind of hard to figure out if they are Peruvian or not.

    That's a beauty.

At least most of the Peruvians are marked. Try finding correct Colombian bayos. The only one I can find that had any distinctive markings is the Steyr M1912 just simply marked "R de C" on the cross guard. I found this one on eBay for just over $100 shipped.

It wasn't what I was looking for at the time but I figured I should grab it while it was available.
It gave me an excuse to buy a gun for it to fit so it's all good.
