There is a looooooong thread, several threads in fact, on the interchangeability between the parts on the forum. So I won't repeat them again.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Yes, nice job but while I'm not looking at the grat and crosswire in the flesh, the tip of the grat looks either a bit rounded OR lop sided. Difficult to spin up and it always takes me 2 or 3 goes to get it right. Or did while I was fixing them

Musgrave nice No32 refurbishment and in keeping with the original standards! Just out of interest what did you use to chemically black the brass?

I have used Birchwood Casey Brass Black with very good results . Four To five applications produce a nice dark black color on brass .
