He's probably got a barn full of that stuff. That's why you never see any good stuff on the open market any more!

Why he had to get rid of the horses as they were taking up too much room in the barn. He needed the extra space for more parts and stock!!!!!

Or they kicked him one too many times.

Charlie did a great job on a couple of S'G' stocks for me a few years back.

Well I have said it before and I will say it again. If anyone knows carbine stocks it's Charlie. Just that he doesn't remember too well sometimes just which stock he is supposed to be looking for and for whom.

I'd call that a better buy than the $10K IP. - Bob

very interesting, I have a Trimble TN (Trimble to NPM ) that was transferred to SG and marked in sling well. It is stamped Orchard Lake PD.
It has two holes on bottom but back near trigger housing hole. The bridge was mostly cut out. No happy switch cut.
I figured it was for a monopod or such. However when I pull the action out there are two holes in the front channel which does not go through.

So now I am thinking maybe something was mounted in the stock. There was a Vietnam or Korean era video that I once saw which had a camera mounted in a carbine stock.
    Any thoughts?

Not sure about your stock Dan.
But there is a Orchard Lake not to far from me in Oakland county.

    Ever see this?
I'm about 11 miles from the old East Lansing State Police post.

Charlie, Excellent! Where was that article from? My stock is not a Para. Evidently at some point they received more carbines.
One search I found said Orchard Lake is a suburb of Detroit. Is there a connection to the DPD?

I am sure many know that Detroit Police Department had obtained carbines and marked the stock with DPD. Think the metal was also given a number.
