    Pattern 1907 sanderson 2 '15

Long time ago, I saw an advertisement in Shotgun News for 1917 Pattern 1907 bayonets at $50 each (US) Well I ordered one, waited and waited almost six months still
no bayonet. Then it arrived a nice Sanderson 2 '15 bayonet rebuilt '25 only the grip had the Australiaicon stamp ? Why was stamped ? should I change the grips ?Attachment 95260Attachment 95261Attachment 95262

Part of its history RCS something about that stamp being put on them when they went to the US early on after WWI I may be off course with that bit of information but I have read/heard it somewhere in the past why just 1 scale is stamped thus, my 1921 Lithgow bears the same "Australiaicon" stamp.

I find it different it has not had the re-issue stamp on the same side as the original date all of my re-issues are on the same original dated side.

I seem to think - and heard from Brian at BDLicon - that the ENGLAND or other nation stamp was applied in the 70's. You occasionally see it on No7 and No5 grips too.

Where are you Brian when the world needs you........?

All of my P 1907's that have a reissue/refurbishment date added show that date on the reverse side (where the "X" bend test mark is stamped). My P 1888's, on the other hand, have inspection dates added to the side showing the date of manufacture.
