When I was looking for a M1903 (I posted pics of the one I ultimately bought in another thread), I ran across a gun shop in Texas that had several of them. I won't mention the name as I'm not 100% of the rules here, but I saved pictures of them off their website to help me in my researching. Disclaimer....I have absolutely no interest, association, or connection to the dealer or any of their guns.

Anyway, this was a nice NM they had, at mid 4 figures. Please let me know if this post isn't appropriate; don't shoot me (especially with a M1903).

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nice rifle. Well cared for. Mid 4000's is all the money in this market imo, My buy no buy decision would be based on the readings after I stuck a Springfield gage in the muzzle and chamber. Then we would dicker a bit.
