    1897 Winchester What?

    Found a show for $500 .I donít think itís a trench.Cause no rear sling swivel and barrel clamp on it.And two numbers on bottom donít match

    A lot of folks around here can spot fakes by how the marks look.
    I'm not one of them...but for $500, I'd definitely buy it. It's neat even if it is fake and you couldn't assemble a replica yourself for that price!

    I agree, I'd take it for $500...and a mix and match wouldn't be a surprise.
