The Marine Corps adversary program still uses F-5's. VMFT 401 at MCAS Yuma still has 13 F-5's.

When we switched from the Kfir to the F-5 at VMFT 401, I was sent to school on it to the former Williams AFB in Mesa,AZ.
The class room had pic's of F-5's from every nation who had them in their inventory. The pictures went around the room.
Northrop took a lot of those little piggy's to the world market!

Have any F5s or T38 ever transferred into civilian hands? Seems like a simple aircraft that could be maintained at a civilian level??
