    03-A3 mainspring

    What is the uncompressed length of the firing pin spring?

    Thanks..On my bolt; uncompressed is 4 1/2" and when compressed on the rod, coils are compressed against each other, really only barely enough room to remove / install the collar and pin.

    When you cock your 03 / 03A3 are the coils compressed against eash other?

    No one has answered my question about the 1917 spring length so I wonder if sometime in the past, a 1917 spring was installed?
