I looked at the scope set up and elevation either way would have stressed the tube as the front mount is not gimballed, I use Burris signature rings they have 0, +10 & -10 inserts so you can get 10MOA by using + - combination that does not stress the scope tube.

Yes I am over the moon with the Hiscock, first one I have seen in the flesh!

I see what you mean about stressing the tube, I seem to remember some Parker Hale front mounts allowed for some movement. I am hoping to take the rifle for a shoot over the next few days so, unless it is pretty much zeroed in already, I may have to look for PH or Burris front mount. What have you got your scope setup on?
