MG 42 Dewat - Market, Thoughts?

Can anyone tell me what the market is like for a very nicely done professional deactivation of an MG 42 in Canadaicon? The cover opens and it's cock and click. Really nice piece. All matching serial numbers as well. A friend has offered it to me for sale and I want to know a fair price - don't want to cheat him.

    Thanks!

You might look at about $4000 CDN... There aren't any on CGN right now either I think.

They haven't retrospectively blocked you selling old "cock and click" deacs like they have here then Jim....

It's illigal to sell them anywhere in the EU now ... However, come the glorious day of dear old Blighty's liberation from the Peoples Republic of Europe next March ... This might change!

Well, they are keen on copying and pasting EU law into Britishicon law as an initial step ... Probably the only viable step as we haven't passed any UK specific laws in decades to be honest.

This EU directive explicitly details not allowing the sale of non EU deacs "within the EU". We will be out, so the law is effectively voided.

They will however re-word the act to stay in step, of that I am sure.

So a window of opportunity might open up for us, if only for a limited time.

They have not yet...there are two types like you have also, welded solid and old cock and click.

Anyway, I doubt it could ship anywhere so he's sort of limited to Canadaicon sales only...
