    E-Bay British No 32 scope ?

If anyone is interested there is a No. 32 MK*1 scope listed with carry tin ,scope bracket ,and leather lens cover. The bracket ,metal scope tin, and the lens cap look ok to me but someone needs to tell if the scope is correct . Starting price is $1450.00 and the buy now is $1950.00 .

Is that the UIC Mk1 serial number 150 that was mated to an E prefix BSA rifle? (Unusual, but appears correct). Or have I got the wrong one......?

You'd better grab it! That is an early UIC (Vickers) scope. The first thousand 'scopes were done as a feasibility study. Look at the sum of the parts: scope can; $350-$450. Original scope cover; $100. Bracket; $750 to $1000. Mk 1 Scope; $900 to $1200. Being that it is an early UIC produced scope, probably more due to rarity.

the one caveat: ask if drums move freely. If they are frozen, or reticle is missing, repair costs could add more $$.

Still an appropriate price in todays market. This stuff seems to be going up in price everyday.

Grab it when you see it and cop the flak later, now you've learnt the lesson so many of us have here "He who hesitates is lost" just like my recent Ducati M/C purchase it was there, the price was right, so pulled the trigger straight away, though I was told by my wife I am spoilt!

This sold yesterday for the "buy it now price" US$1950.00. The Seller restricted sale to the continental USAicon. Cut a lot of us out of the deal. Ron(Canadaicon)

For the record, the scope was made by U.I.C., is serial number 150, the rifle serial number on the bracket was E39446, the bracket was made by Dalglish (N92) and the scope clamps were numbered R549 and R550. The scope caps were stamped /|\ over B.H.G. 1944. I do not have matches for the rifle or scope in my database.
