    Another find, Japanese Helmet

Another find in the old house. Brought back from WW2. Anyone able to read the writting? B&W looked a bit clearer. Are these common.

    Jim,
There was a Forum that fellow member here AZPhil sent me to, when I was looking for info on the Japaneseicon flag I have. There they have a section where members living in Japan can ID the letters and item.
I've looked thru my password book but can't find my notes/password or name of the site.

I believe it was Military Relics Forum or War Relics forum but don't recall.
I don't have time now, but if you do try a message out to Phil...... He'll hook you up, or get the proper name of the site. Then I can try to ask and post your pictures there.

Don't call the items Jap........ they take offense to that there.
I'll try Phil while I have a few minutes before we leave.

    Jim,

I posted your story and pics on the other forum. I'll link it later.
This link below has a lot of information to chew on, so
For now study this thread about the helmets and markings:

Japanese helmet, machine gun damage, japanese text inside cloth cover, translation?

Print this off... it will come in handy when matching up symbols. It will make more sense after you read the thread.

    Charlie,

What an effort you made, and you have the answers.

    Many thanks. Jim
