    Movie

    Pathfinders, In company with strangers.

Film is based on the paratroops tasked with getting the beacons initiated for the following airborne assault on D-Day.
They were the very first U.S troops to be dropped into Europe in any great numbers they had to set up transponding beacons Rebecca/Eureka as guides for the planes.

I did not know about this part but as we now know the drops went a bit south but in the light of history these chaps had a 90% chance of not making it with no back up apart from each other.
As a film it was a bit weird the start of it and the war scenes are well under done for effects but when you think about what they are trying to portray with regards to those brave men its is watchable.

I would rate it about a 4-10 only because of A) The begining hard to follow the plot and acting B) The special effects.
But they do have nice views of some Thompsons in action (Even the Germans had them near the end).
